During term 3 we will be learning new mathematical skills by finding out about some of the world's tallest skyscrapers.

What are the ten tallest buildings in the world in 2008?

Today's Task (5th August 2008)

1. Create a new wiki page and name it by your group number 1-10

2. Click on the link on the wiki to find out more about your building by answering the following questions:

a. What country is your building located in?
b. Is your building located in the country’s capital city?
c. How many metres tall is your building? How many floors does it have?
d. How wide is your building?

3. Use an Atlas to locate country and city of your building. Write down the page number and coordinates on which map your buiding can be found.


4. Imagine that you have taken a blind friend to the building. Look more carefully at your building and write a paragraph describing it too them. Use this organiser to help you orgnaise your ideas.
If you get time add a photo of your building to your wiki page.
